I would expect a little more law enforcement and a little less profiling. All dealings with the public should be honest.

I hold no grudge against police officers in general, and I have a deep respect for all of them. When I crashed my car on Pioneer Crossing, four arrived at the scene almost immediately. However, only one of the officers did anything. All of them treated it very casually, laughing and joking with each other. They seemed to be using my car crash as an excuse for a social gathering. I have no problem with officers enjoying themselves. But I wish that as my life as I knew it was crumbling before my eyes, they would've treated the situation with less levity.

I called Animal Control to pick up a cat that was causing a nuisance outside of my home. When the officer arrived, they were 1. Too scared to pick up the cat, and asked my mom to pick it up (like, hullo, thought that was your job) and 2. Let the cat jump out of the cage they put it in, and then drove away without putting the cat back. So the cat reclaimed its stoop outside our home. I called Animal Control back and informed them that the cat was left behind. No one ever came back to get the cat. It's kind of funny when I tell people the story, but I do get annoyed whenever I think about it. I understand that there are probably more urgent things to address than an annoying cat, and I could have even taken the silly cat to the shelter myself. However, the fact that Animal Control did not follow up with me about this incident made me feel ignored. I don't know exactly why this was my experience, but it makes me wonder if I will keep getting ignored if I have to ask for help with bigger issues. I know that something like this may seem petty in comparison to the range of services the Police offers. I simply want to share my experience in the hopes that it can contribute to thought for potential improvement. My rating is two stars based on this experience alone; I am optimistic to change it based on future/other encounters.

Always thankful for our LCPD.

We toured the Lehi PD and it was a good experience. The boy scout troop I lead really enjoyed it - good for the boys to see a super drunk DUI come in while we were there.
